Hello my name is Joseph Swain. I am the owner/operator of Swainway Urban Farm.
My company was born with a backyard garden and a dream. With an urge to eat better food and live a more sustainable lifestyle five years ago, I started my very own backyard garden. Through the success I had growing food and realization how much I enjoyed working the land, I decided it was time to join The Food Revolution!
With the support of many friends and family members, I started Swainway Urban Farm with a green thumb and a calling to provide safe, fresh, highly nutritious food. I discovered the joy in sharing good food and gardening methods with others. Thus our mission was expanded to encourage others in our community to grow their own food gardens.
Food from your own yard is the safest, most sustainable food on the planet. I work towards growing food for others and restoring traditional foodways to ensure a sustainable future for ourselves and our children.
